7 – 9:30pm, one evening a week for two weeks

Japanese food may sometimes seem difficult to approach for those with a vegetarian diet, however two of Reiko’s favourite ingredients – seaweed and tofu – are indeed nutritious, healthy, delicious and vegetarian! In fact, Reiko has been developing vegetarian and vegan recipes for specialist suppliers for several years, so has a long repertoire of recipes to teach you.

Reiko’s vegetarian class is hands on: you’ll make and see demonstrations of 8 dishes in the two sessions course, ranging from light sauces such as Yuzu and ginger to hearty aubergine steak and tofu mains. You’ll then enjoy tasting these dishes over a leisurely and sociable evening meal, in an authentic Japanese setting.

-Somen Noodle with Chilli Ginger Aubergine
-Arame Seaweed & Cucumber Crunchy Salad with Ponzu Dressing
-Tofu Steak with Miso Spinach Topping
-Vegetarian Gyoza Dumpling with Chilli Sesame Dipping Sauce
