Japanese food may sometimes seem difficult to approach for those with a vegan diet, however two of Reiko’s favourite ingredients – seaweed and tofu – are indeed nutritious, healthy, delicious and vegetarian! In fact, Reiko has been developing vegan recipes for specialist suppliers for several years, so has a long repertoire of recipes to teach you.
7 – 9:30pm – mid week evenings
Reiko’s vegan class is hands on: you’ll make and see demonstrations of 8 dishes in the two sessions course, ranging from light sauces such as Yuzu and ginger to rich sauces such as miso with full of umami. You’ll then enjoy tasting these dishes over a leisurely and sociable evening meal, in an authentic Japanese setting. Unlike the other courses, you can sign up for each session.

-Hijiki & Edamame Rice
-Agedashi Dofu (deep fried tofu in dashi ginger broth)
-Vegan Sushi Rolls
-Tofu Yakitori Skewers
-Spinach with Creamy Sesame Sauce
The whole course of 2 evening classes is £180, one session is £95
Vegetarian course can be set with a group of min four people.
We will also provide full recipe, ingredient and supplier lists so that you know exactly where to purchase the highest quality vegetarian ingredients.
