Two-Part Vegetarian Course

7 – 9pm, one evening per week for two weeks

Japanese food may sometimes seem difficult to approach for those with a vegetarian diet, however two of Reiko’s favourite ingredients – seaweed and tofu – are indeed nutritious, healthy, delicious and vegetarian! In fact, Reiko has been developing vegetarian and vegan recipes for specialist suppliers for several years, so has a long repertoire of recipes to teach you.

Reiko’s vegetarian class is hands on: you’ll make and see demonstrations of 8 dishes in the two sessions course, ranging from light sauces such as Yuzu and ginger to hearty aubergine steak and tofu mains. You’ll then enjoy tasting these dishes over a leisurely and sociable evening meal, in an authentic Japanese setting.

1st Class

-Broccoli with Miso and Sesame Dressing
-Ganmodoki Dofu in Clear Ginger Broth
-Kakiage Tempura with Yuzu Ponzu Dipping Sauce
-Tamago & Shiitake Donburi (egg & shiitake mushroom on rice)

2nd Class

-Soba Noodle & Wakame Seaweed Salad
-Miso Dengaku (aubergine with sweet miso sauce)
-Tofu Steak with Mushroom Topping
-Gyoza Dumpling with Chilli Sesame Dipping Sauce

We will also provide full recipe, ingredient and supplier lists so that you know exactly where to purchase the highest quality vegetarian ingredients.

*Cancellation Policy: A full payment in advance will secure the booking. Once the booking is confirmed, there will be no full refund. However, rescheduling the date can be discussed with at least two week’s notice. A voucher has 6 months validation, however it can be extended if you contact me within the first 6 months.
